The shutdown event tracker can help the system administrators to monitor the shutdowns on their computers. You can't access the Shutdown Event Tracker in Windows 7 by default. To enable it, try the following tutorial step by step:
1.Click the start button.
2.Type gpedit.msc in the search box and hit Enter.
3.The Group Policy Editor will be opened.
4.Navigate to
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > RHS > Display Shutdown Event Tracker policy.
And double click it.
5.When a dialog box opens, choose “Always” from the drop-down menu to enable Shutdown Event Tracker.
Now when you shot down windows 7, the Shutdown Event Tracker is displayed in the Shut Down Windows dialog box.
